Typography For Business Cards

In this class, students will discover how the element of Typography plays such a pivotal roll in the design process.  Students will first explore a variety of Letter Forms, Type, as well as Fonts, and then practice using them to create Business Cards with the Canva software.

Color Scheme For Website Elements

This class continues to cover Color and Texture. Students will hone their ability to create color schemes, by creating an Original Color Scheme (consisting of at least 5 different colors) for Website Elements (e.g. Buttons, Headers, Footers, Titles, Description Text) using the Canva software.

Layout For Social Media Product Ad

This class continues to cover the use Points, Lines, and Planes, but also introduces the importance of Design Specs (e.g. dimensions, pixels) to students.  Working individually, students will practice this skill by creating a Social Media Product Ad Layout with the Canva software.

Magazine Cover For Teen Audience

This class first introduces Emphasis and Dominance to students, and then reinforces the Design Process by giving them the opportunity to Brainstorm, Communicate with a Client, and Consider an Audience as well as promotional Ethics in order to work as a team to create a Magazine Cover for teen-audience (using the Canva software).

Restoring & Enhancing Damaged Photos

This class delves deeper into Balance, Contrast, and Saturation in order to teach students not only how to repair images, but also improve them.  Students will practice applying these techniques by Restoring and Enhancing Damaged Photos using the Canva software.

Typography To Create Your Logo

In this class, students will continue to explore Typography, by introducing them to Font Pairing and Hierarchy.  Students will have the opportunity to use these skills to design their Own Logo and Brand Package with the Canva software.
