COVERED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Overview of the different Olympic level Track and Field events such as Hurdles, Triple Jump, and 100m Sprint 
  • Proper Running form to maximize speed and stamina 
  • Speed training techniques to improve acceleration 
  • Endurance techniques to increase stamina

PRACTICED SKILLS:

  • Identify  the difference between the various events 
  • Stretches and techniques to improve all around running ability 
  • Techniques and exercises to increase speed and acceleration
  • Techniques and exercise to increase endurance and stamina

FINAL PROJECT:

Compete (e.g. run a 100m dash) in a track meet against EM Track and Field participants from a different school/site
